The Yoga Pratha

Odanadi has been running a Home for the survivors for the past 18 years.
In recognition of Odanadi's services, the Karnataka Government has allotted two plots of land in Mysore at nominal rates, one of 2 acres and another of 3/4 acre, from where the Home “Prayoga Patha” now functions. The Home provides many facilities to the survivors such as legal aid, therapeutic counseling, health services and psychosocial intervention.
At present, the Prayoga Patha take care of 81 rescued women and children, providing shelter, education and skills development training to make them independent and self-reliant
The mantra behind Odanadi’s efforts is to provide a sensitive yet joyful atmosphere, full of life, to enable them to come out and communicate their feelings voluntarily and without any inhibitions.

15 km from Odanadi Girls Home is the Boys Home. Currently, there are 15 boys in residence, ranging in age from 5- to 18-years-old. The boys’ home is on a beautiful block of land in an area of mainly fields and plantations on the outskirts of Mysore and is comprised of only a few small and rudimentary cabin-style structures which were built by the boys themselves. It is still very rugged and basic as we are waiting for permission from the government to start building a proper house similar to the Odanadi Girls Home. At present, there is no indoor facility for recreation and all activities take place outdoors.
